Robertsau Investissement leads acquisition of Cofintex
Under the terms of the deal, Robertsau Investissement invested equity in a newco, la Société Financière de la Saône, alongside two Caisses de Retraite et Prévoyance (Apicil and Monceau). Leverage was provided by Groupe Sade, Fortis Bank (which has since taken over Groupe Sade) and Banque Martin Maurel. The acquisition of Cofintex forms part of the long-term strategy of Robertsau Gestion, which could, if the current project is successful, carry out similar acquisitions in the future. The team also intends to continue working closely with the Martin Maurel group on projects in the Rhône-Alpes region. For Groupama, the transaction fits with its plans of moving towards higher value unquoted investments which it will carry out through Finama Private Equity.
