CDC Entreprises Equity Capital has recently nominated a new board of directors, comprising Edgard Taureau and Gilles Destremau. Taureau is the newly appointed CEO, bringing global management, investment and M&A experience to the company. He is a seasoned executive with over 25 years experience in managing global technology companies from start-ups to high-growth enterprises. Most recently, Taureau served as president and CEO of Viventures Partners SA (VPSA) until September 2004. He was previously president of Antexia, a funds management company jointly established by DEXIA Bank and Antipolis. At Antexia, he was responsible for investment strategy and development of portfolio companies. Prior to running Antexia, Taureau was president and CEO of European Internet Capital, an investment holding company based in the UK. He also served as a senior vice president for Central and Southern Europe at ICL (part of the Fujitsu Group) with responsibility for over $800m in turnover. Taureau has held other leadership positions including chairman and CEO of Metrologie SA, Europe's leading IT distributor and vice president for Europe and Middle East at Altos Computer then at Acer Computer (the Taïwan PC manufacturer).Gilles Destremau was financial director of LBO France until December 2003. From 1999 to 2002 he worked as administrative and accounting director of Touax, the group specialised in hiring transport material, after having been financial director of NSX-Audiosmartcard, a French SME dealing in security telephonic transactions. From 1991-1998, Destremau took on several international responsibilities within the Schlumberger Group in Paris, which he joined in 1988 as treasurer and deputy in charge of Africa and the Middle East. Previously he took on similar duties from 1987-1988 at Philip Morris Europe. Destremau began his career in 1982 in Paribas in Paris, where he specialised in external commerce and then international relations.
