New York State Common Retirement Fund commits to Access fund
The New York State Common Retirement Fund has committed E250m to a vehicle managed by Access Capital Partners. The fund will commit capital over the next three to four years to selected Western European mid-market buyout funds.It will also co-invest alongside Access's other mandates and fund-of-funds, especially the firm's third generation fund-of-funds, Access Capital Fund III, which has a target of E250m (page 05).Access has managed separate accounts for individual clients before, but they have been in the range of E35-50m, explained Philippe Poggioli, partner at Access. With its E250m investment, the New York State Common Retirement Fund has become the firm's largest investor to date.
