Paris DéveloppementHubert Duault has been named chairman of Paris Développement, the agency set up in 1996 by the Paris mayor’s office and the Paris chamber of commerce and industry (CCIP). The organisation is run by Christian Sautter, a mayoral deputy with responsibilities for finance, economic development and employment. The unit’s principal tasks are the promotion of the French capital, the attracting of foreign investment and the support of technology start-ups, a role in which it is aided by the incubator Paris Innovation and Paris Cyber Village, which promotes young internet and multimedia firms.
