Iris Capital appoints Pesqué and Nitlech as partners
Paris-based digital-economy-focused VC Iris Capital has appointed Julien-David Nitlech (pictured above) and Stéphane Pesqué as partners.
Nitlech has been promoted to partner, having joined Iris in 2013 as an investment manager. He works with early-stage investments in France and Europe, focusing in particular on cloud computing, big data, software and mobile.
Prior to joining Iris, Nitlech launched and grew the European activities of Apperian, a US startup developing a cloud-based mobile application management platform. He began his career in business development for the US subsidiary of French telecoms business Orange.

Pesqué joins the firm as partner and will be in charge of early-stage investments in France. Before joining Iris, he served as managing director of CM-CIC Capital Privé for 13 years, focusing on the telecoms, internet and software sectors. He led the firm's venture capital team and activities from 2010 onwards.
Prior to his time at CM-CIC, Pesqué worked at Siparex Ventures as associate for four years.
