Goodwin Procter appoints two partners to Paris office
International law firm Goodwin Procter has hired Arnaud Fromion and Frédéric Guillou as partners in its Paris office, alongside newly appointed counsel Adrien Paturaud and several associates.
The appointments are part of Goodwin's effort to build up its private equity and M&A practices in Europe. Fromion and Guillou will begin work in mid-October.
The three newly appointed team members come to Goodwin from legal firm Shearman & Sterling and focus on acquisition finance and corporate finance, acting on behalf of lenders, borrowers and private equity sponsors.
Goodwin's Paris office opened in July 2016 with the appointment of partners Maxence Bloch, Christophe Digoy, Jérôme Jouhanneaud, Thomas Maitrejean, William Robert and Pierre-Louis Sévegrand, alongside other legal professionals. The team specialises in M&A, leveraged buyouts, private equity and public-to-private transactions for French and foreign private equity funds.
Goodwin's private equity practice is mostly active in the mid-market, with a special focus on the technology, healthcare, financial and consumer services sectors.
