MBO Partenaires appoints Xavier de Prévoisin to partner

French mid-cap firm MBO Partenaires has appointed Xavier de Prévoisin, formerly at 3i, as partner.
Prior to joining MBO Partenaires, de Prévoisin served as private equity partner at 3i for 16 years. During his time there, he worked on several mid- and large-cap transactions involving businesses whose turnover ranged between €50-300m, including Eurodiesel, Trescal, Etanco, SIA and Mediaperformances.
De Prévoisin left 3i in August last year. He will now complete MBO's team of partners, which includes Richard Broche, Cécile Nguyen-Cluzel, Julien Wormser, Edouard Malandrin and Juan Cuesta, based in Paris, Lyon and Madrid.
MBO Partenaires currently has €580m in assets under management. At the end of last year, the GP closed its fourth buyout fund, MBO Partenaires 4, on its €250m hard-cap. The fund should have a stronger focus on the digital sector, according to the GP.
