Sofinnova promotes Seghezzi to managing partner

Seghezzi joins existing managing partners Antoine Papiernik, Denis Lucquin and Monique Saulnier at the head of the firm. Seghezzi started his career with Sofinnova in 2001, with a particular focus on origination.

During his career at Sofinnova, Seghezzi took part in financing several startups at inception, as well as spinouts and accelerators. These include Omthera Pharmaceuticals, Breath Therapeutics, Corvidia Therapeutics, Crescendo Biologics, Hookipa Biotech, Inotrem and Mission Therapeutics.

Initially trained as a scientist, Seghezzi had a stint at Index Ventures in Geneva between 2003-2006.
