BPI France to launch medtech fund
BPI France has announced its intention to launch a €50m fund for seed investments in French healthcare technology startups.
The fund, named Patient Autonome, will be dedicated to technological innovation in healthcare exclusively. The GP has not given details of when the fund will be launched.
BPI France has directly invested €170m in 570 healthcare-related startups and companies in 2016.
The GP also launched an accelerator programme this week with the aim of supporting startups currently backed by BPI France that focus on biotech and medtech. The accelerator will provide companies with regulatory assistance and advice, according to press releases.
