Cathay et al. to launch €1.2bn Sino French Midcap II
Cathay Capital, BPI France and China Development Bank have announced their intention to launch the €1.2bn Sino French Midcap II fund, targeting medium-sized companies.
Sino French Midcap II's target is currently €1.2bn and its first investment is planned for the first half of 2018.
The fund's predecessor, Cathay's Sino French Midcap fund, held a final close in December 2014 on its hard-cap of €500m, after just six months on the road.
The fund will look to invest in medium-sized companies mostly in France and China, but a smaller portion should be dedicated to Europe generally and North America. It will target companies prioritising international expansion.
