DLA Piper hires Vandenbussche and Pinkham

DLA Piper has welcomed partner Julien Vandenbussche and senior counsel George Pinkham to reinforce its private equity team.
The two lawyers will work alongside partner Benjamin Aller on fund structuring.
Aller was hired around a month ago as part of a larger hiring operation by DLA Piper that saw nine new lawyers joining the team. Raphael Béra, Fanny Combourieu and Sylvie Vansteenkiste, leading the DLA Piper's tax law team, all joined the firm as partners.
DLA is aiming to bolster its fund structuring offering in France. It intends to create collaborations with its other European and international offices, particularly Luxembourg.
Julien Vandenbussche previously worked as general counsel at Tikehau Investment Management from 2016 onward. He also worked at Herbert Smith Freehills, Gide Loyrette Nouel and SJ Berwin.
George Pinkham, lawyer at the bars of New York and Paris, was a partner at King & Wood Mallesons' offices in New York from 2014 until 2017. Previously he worked for the firm in Hong-Kong and Paris.
