
IK to acquire Domia
Private equity firm IK Investment Partners is to wholly acquire French educational services provider Domia Group, according to an announcement from the local competition authority.
The investment will be made via the investor's IK Small Cap I Fund, which held a final close on its €277m hard-cap. The competition authority is currently reviewing the transaction.
IK declined to comment.
Domia is controlled by MCP Education, a portfolio company of private equity firm Metric Capital Partners, which acquired a majority stake in the business in May 2013. The enterprise value stood at €8.48m for the turnaround deal, according to Unquote Data. Metric held a 96.1% stake by providing funding of €14.5m.
Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Paris, Domia Group, operating under its brand name Acadomia, is a provider of supplementary education in France. It mainly offers home-based and classroom tutoring services through teaching professionals.
