Hivest Capital Partners eyes Groupe STG
French GP Hivest Capital Partners is considering the acquisition of French transportation service Groupe STG, according to an announcement from the French competition authority.
Hivest, founded in 2016, typically invests €5-25m in French companies with revenues of between €20-500m.
The French regulator also disclosed that the GP's vehicle, Hivest I, which closed on €120m in 2017, would be used for the transaction.
Hivest does not currently control any French company related to road transport of goods or logistics services, the French regulator also underlined.
Founded in 1949, STG provides bundling, warehousing, freight, logistics, temperature control and industrial courier services. According to its website, it employs 3,500 people and generates a turnover of up to €370m.
Earlier in July, the GP acquired France-based canned fruits specialist Saint Mamet from Florac, investing alongside management.
