Omnes to launch fourth Capenergie fund in Q3 2019
French GP Omnes is planning to launch renewable-energy-focused vehicle Capenergie in Q3 2019, Unquote understands.
The vehicle will target €500m, according to a person familiar with the situation.
Its predecessor, Capenergie III, makes investments in small and medium-sized renewable energy infrastructure projects across Europe.
The new vehicle would be significantly bigger than its predecessors, as Capenergie III closed on €245m in 2017, Capergie II on €135m in 2012 and Capenergie on €100m in 2007.
Capenergie II portfolio company Neoen, a renewable energy project developer, announced its intention to float in September and listed on the French stock exchange last week. Omnes initially backed Neoen via its first Capenergie vehicle in 2009.
