Andera sells Scalian to Cobepa – reports
Andera Partners has sold Scalian, a French engineering consultancy, to Belgium-based investor Cobepa, according to Unquote sister publication Mergermarket.
The auction process saw the business marketed based on an EBITDA in the €15m-20m region, according to Mergermarket. Natixis Partners has been in charge of the sale process for the business, according to French publication Capital Finance.
Andera Partners did not respond to a request for comment and Natixis Partners declined to comment.
Andera first acquired a majority stake in the buy-in management buyout of Scalian in 2015. In January this year, the GP acquired the remaining 33% stake that it did not already own, via the €300m Winch Capital 3 fund. The stake was acquired from the company's founder, Daniel Benchimol.
Scalian, founded in 1998 under the name Eurogiciel, offers consultancy on the digital systems and operation performances of companies operating in the fields of aeronautics and defence, telecom, energy and transport. Based in Toulouse, it employs around 2,500 people in France, Germany, the UK, Belgium, Spain, Canada, the US, Morocco and India. The company generated a turnover of €150m in 2017.
