France-based Apax Partners hires de Cardes
France-based Apax Partners has hired Aymeric de Cardes as a new partner in the development team to focus on TMT investments.
De Cardes' team will be dedicated to the small-cap segment.
Apax's investment team now has 37 members, including 15 partners. Around 40% of Apax's investments are in the TMT space.
Aged 52, de Cardes has 20 years of operational experience as a TMT sector executive and has carried out more than 15 M&A transactions as part of European build-ups.
He began his career at Gemini Consulting and then worked at AT Kearney. In 1999, he was appointed COO at the web hosting company Integra, which was sold in 2002 to Verizon-Genuity. De Cardes was then in charge of business development for SES Astra's mobile multimedia business before joining the TDF group in 2007 where he became director of international development and M&A. In 2015, he was appointed CEO of Arkena, a subsidiary of TDF.
