Tikehau Capital launches €800-875m capital increase
French asset management and investment company Tikehau Capital, listed on Euronext Paris, announced on 18 June the launch of a capital increase transaction, at a price of €22 per share, expecting to raise between €800-875m.
The capital increase will result in the issue of between 36,363,637 and 39,772,728 new shares.
The company has received subscription commitments from certain existing shareholders and certain institutional investors for a total amount of €528m.
Tikehau plans to use the fresh capital to increase investments carried out from its balance sheet, both for LP commitments to its own funds and co-investments alongside its own funds. It said this will align the interests of the group with its investor clients and boost the growth of its asset management business.
The funding will also be used to "seize external growth opportunities" to expand its asset management platform and branch out into new regions and asset classes. This will enable Tikehau to continue rebalancing its business mix towards real estate and private equity.
Tikehau's market cap stands at €2.183bn as of 17 June.
