Apax France hires DC Advisory's Hamou as TMT partner
France-based Apax Partners has hired Eric Hamou as a technology, media and telecoms (TMT) partner, bringing its team of partners to 15.
Hamou's arrival will help Apax to invest more frequently in the TMT sector, with which the GP is already familiar, having invested in 30 TMT deals in the past 30 years.
Hamou started his career at Indosuez, in Paris, before moving to UBS in London. He then spent 14 years with Goldman Sachs, where he was appointed managing director in 2004. Among other responsibilities, Eric was in charge of telecoms infrastructure and media practices for the Europe region.
Eric then took over as co-head of DC Advisory France in 2012, which he helped to reposition in the mid-cap M&A market, in particular in the digital services and software company segments.
