Paul Hastings hires Dechert partner Cardon

Law firm Paul Hastings has hired former Dechert partner Charles Cardon for its Paris office.
Cardon will advise funds on a range of transactions, including LBOs and stock-exchange related deals, such as acquisitions of public target companies.
He will advise public companies in the context of their takeover bids, issuance of securities, governance matters, disclosure requirements and relationships with shareholders, as well as corporate law matters.
Cardon worked at Willkie Farr & Gallagher from 2005 to 2011 and then joined Weil Gotshal & Manges, where he worked for five years, first as corporate associate and then counsel. He was then employed by Dechert in 2016 as a partner and advised on private and public companies and private equity funds on domestic and international corporate transactions.
Paul Hastings’ Paris office also hired tax partner Bruno Leroy in May.
