Keensight hires senior director, analyst
French GP Keensight Capital has hired Amit Karna as senior director, as well as Carlo Cartapani as analyst.
Karna started his career in New York at Manufacturers & Traders Trust, where he held various positions in portfolio risk management. He also founded and led Daten Capital, a London-based firm leveraging AI to invest in the pharmaceuticals industry.
Prior to joining Keensight, Karna spent 10 years in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs, first in New York and then in London. As part of the global healthcare group, he handled mid- and large-cap transactions across a range of healthcare sectors, including the sale of Sonion to Novo Holdings, Werfen's sale of Bolton Medical to Terumo, the carve-out of a global consumer healthcare portfolio for GlaxoSmithKline, the sale of Carlyle's stake in Medical Park to Turkven, and the sale of Baxter Healthcare's US injectables business to Hikma.
Cartapani began his career in 2016 in the international affairs team at Cap Digital, a European business cluster for digital transformation. He then joined Eurvad Finance, a boutique specialised in small & mid-cap transactions, as an M&A analyst.
