UBS's Fabrice Scheer joins Alantra France

Corporate finance house Alantra has hired Fabrice Scheer, previously managing director at UBS, as managing partner in its Paris office.
Scheer's colleague, UBS director Nicolas Senlis, has also joined Alantra's Paris office as a director.
Scheer and Senlis were both in the mid-cap M&A team of UBS Wealth Management France. Scheer in particular is a long-standing figure in the mid-cap space in France, having joined UBS in 2005 and been managing director of the mid-cap M&A team since 2008. During this time, he and his team worked on 150 transactions for a combined enterprise value of more than €10bn. Prior to that, he worked at EY Corporate Finance between 1999 and 2005.
Senlis started his career at UBS in 2007 and became a director in the mid-cap M&A team, working on around 40 transactions.
Alantra France now counts 30 professionals, including five managing partners.
