Waterland opens office in France; appoints managing director
Dutch private equity firm Waterland Private Equity has set up a new office in Paris and hired Louis Huetz as the managing director of Waterland France.
Huetz will be responsible for establishing and heading the new office. He joins from industrial company Altrad Group where he was CEO for nearly seven years. He began his career in auditing, consulting and later investment banking as a partner at Leonardo & Co, now known as Natixis Partners.
The opening of Waterland's French office signals the start of its activity in the region, having also opened an office in Dublin in November 2019. The GP has offices in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Denmark and the Benelux region.
The firm focuses on buyouts and growth financing, and supports medium-sized businesses through a buy-and-build strategy. Founded in 1999, it currently has €6bn in assets under management.
Huetz said in a statement that the GP in France will continue supporting its portfolio companies by pursuing an international buy-and-build strategy by combining the resources of its different European offices.
