Flexstone Partners appoints head of ESG
French asset manager Flexstone Partners has promoted its head of investor relations and business development Caroline Gibert as its new head of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG).
Gibert, who joined Flexstone in 2014 and is based in Paris, will take on the new role in addition to her existing responsibilities in investor relations and fundraising.
In the newly created role, Gibert will lead the the firm's ESG strategy at both a firm and portfolio level, and be responsible for strategy, policies, data collection, reporting and processes.
The French investment firm said in a statement that it will focus on four of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, namely protection of the environment, promoting social equality, promoting opportunity, and enhancing diversity and inclusion.
Gibert will be supported in her role by an ESG working group. The team aims to produce ESG reports to each client and a Global ESG report, reach a target for women to represent 40% of the investment teams by 2030, and to become a neutral carbon company by 2050.
The GP, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, manages primary and secondary investments as well as co-investments. It has $7.8bn in assets under management.
