
Triago appoints four to advisory board
Private equity fund advisory firm Triago has appointed four people to its newly established advisory board: Theresa Whitmarsh, Pierre Sauvagnat, Roger Gray and Dave Brown.
The advisory board is expected to advise Triago’s executives and clients across all of the business areas and geographies in which it operates.
Whitmarsh spent 20 years as chief executive of US pension fund Washington State Investment Board, during which time the firm increased its assets under management almost fourfold to USD 185bn, allocating half of its investments to private assets.
Prior to taking on an advisory role at Triago, Sauvagnat was head of financial markets, treasury & proprietary investment and at Banque Cantonale de Genève, where he developed the bank’s private investment program.
Gray spent more than a decade as chief investment officer of UK pension fund Universities Superannuation Scheme, during which time its assets grew by 2.5x, according to a statement. His other previous roles include chief executive at USS Investment Management, CIO at Rothschild Asset Management, CIO and CEO at UBS Management in Switzerland and then global head of asset allocation, and CIO of Hermes Investment Management.
Brown’s previous roles include chief executive and chairman of Members Capital Advisors within insurer CUNA Mutual Group. Prior to this, he was chief investment officer & head of TIAA’s general account and stable value portfolios.
Paris-headquartered Triago’s team has expanded by 29% over the past year, the firm said in a statement. According to Unquote Data, the firm has advised on recent fundraises including DN Capital Global Venture Capital V, Sofinnova Capital X and Archimed’s MED Platform 1.
