Perwyn hires Five Arrows' investment manager for Paris office
UK-based sponsor Perwyn has hired Stéphane Gaudard as investment manager in its Paris office, as the firm continues to build out its French operations.
Gaudard joins from Five Arrows Principal Investments, where he worked since 2014, most recently as an investment manager.
Perwyn has been on a push to increase its resources in France, after it hired Ardian's former head of France Mathieu Antonini as country head in September last year and opened an office in Paris in May 2021.
During his tenure at Five Arrows, Gaudard focused on the software and healthcare sectors, being involved in the sponsor's investments in Hygie31 (Pharmacies Lafayette), which it recently sold to Latour Capital, and A2Mac1, in which Providence entered exclusivity to acquire in November.
Perwyn's Antonini earlier told this news service that the evergreen investor had "ambition but no target, just to do nice investments," in France and Southern Europe.
