Paul Perpère joins AFIC as delegate general
French private equity association AFIC has announced the appointment of Paul Perpère as delegate general.
Perpère will replace Jean-Yves Demeunynck, who left office at the end of 2010 to focus on personal projects. Currently deputy director in charge of direct business taxation for the Tax Legislation Directorate (DLF) of the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry, Perpère is due to join the AFIC on January 17.
AFIC chairman Hervé Schricke stated: "I am extremely pleased that Paul Perpère will be joining the operational management of our association. His thorough familiarity with the issues facing SMEs, together with his international experience, open mind and sense of human relations, are qualities that our profession needs today."
The appointment is he latest in a string of changes at many of Europe's private equity associations. BVCA chief Simon Walker is due to stand down later this year, while EVCA recently appointed the BVK's Dörte Höppner as secretary general.
