AXA PE in talks to sell Eliokem to Lanxess
AXA Private Equity is said to be in discussions with German chemical business Lanxess over the sale of its portolio company Eliokem.
Talks are at a preliminary stages and other potential suitors may yet enter the fold. AXA PE, which purchased the company for around €130m in 2006, is likely to seek a price of over €200m for the Villejust-based company.
Eliokem is a specialty chemical company which manufactures coating, reinforcing and toner resins, antioxidants, rheological polymers, elastomeric modifiers and latex. The group currently owns production sites in Le Havre (France), Ohio (US) and Ningbo (China).
