Omnes reaps 4.8x on Exclusive Networks exit
Omnes Capital and other backers have completed the sale of French software distributor Exclusive Networks to Cobepa, with ICG providing a debt package as part of the new capital structure.
The deal was inked on 20 March, following a competitive process ran by Leonardo, and successfuly completed in May as planned.
Exisiting backer Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners (EdRip) reinvested in the business for the third time as part of the transaction. As revealed by unquote" when the deal was announced, Omnes will reap a 4.8x return on its investment. The deal marks the second exit for Omnes' mid-cap fund CACI 3, which has now been fully repaid with six investments remaining in the portfolio.
Besides the acquisition by Cobepa, Exclusive Networks also secured a fresh debt package from ICG. The facilities, which could total more than €100m, will support the group's ongoing development.
In August 2010, Omnes (then Crédit Agricole Private Equity) acquired a 69% stake in Exclusive in a deal that valued the business between €30-50m. Exclusive's management, EdRip – which had previously provided the business with €1m in return for a 33% stake in June 2007 – and Socadif also took part in the transaction.
Founded in 1995, Exclusive Networks is a distributor of B2B IT security software based in Lyon. It operates in 22 countries.
