The Riverside Company appoints Vincent Daelemans
The Riverside Company has strengthened its European team with the appointment of Vincent Daelemans, who will take up the new position as vice president of origination for Benelux and France.
Daelemans joins Riverside from Tesco, where he was business development manager. During his time at Tesco, he negotiated several acquisitions, among others the acquisition of KSS Retail by Dunnhumby ltd. In addition, he was responsible for the analysis of potential acquisition targets, such as supermarket chains and other targets beyond Tesco's core business.
Based in Riverside's European headquarters in Brussels, the Belgian national will be responsible for driving the sourcing of new quality deals with investment bankers, brokers, financial intermediaries, and larger corporations in the French and Benelux markets.
As vice president of origination, Daelemans will work in concert with the origination team across Europe and globally in order to ensure stronger focus for Riverside in France and Benelux. His responsibilities will include segmenting and prioritizing deal sources, building and maintaining relationships with intermediaries and buy-side brokers and finding proprietary deals.
