LBO France promotes two to partner
French buyout house LBO France has added to its six-strong partner roster with the promotions of Louis-Roch Burgard (pictured above) and Sophie Chateau.
In addition to becoming a partner, Burgard, formerly a managing director at LBO France, will join the firm's executive board. He has been part of the GP since a reshuffle in July 2015 that saw partner and portfolio management head Jacques Franchi promoted to chief investment officer.
In addition to LBO France, Burgard is currently a non-executive director at APRR and a member of Rothschild's supervisory board. He started out as a finance inspector within the French Ministry of Economy. In April 2002, he entered the private sector via French construction multinational Vinci. He remained with the corporate for almost 15 years, working as a managing director at the energy unit and CEO of the concessions arm.

Her career began at UBS, where she was an associate between 1995-1998. She was then a private equity director at Chevrillon & Associés, which she left in 2011 to join Weinberg Capital Partners as head of investor relations.
The two promotions bring LBO France's partner count up to eight. As part of their new role, Burgard and Chateau will work alongside peers Thomas Boulman, Stéphanie Casciola, Jacques Franchi, Jérôme Guez, Jean-Marie Leroy and Vincent Briançon.
