ERCP-backed Viadom acquires 66.6% of Merci Plus
Edmond de Rothschild Capital Partners (ERCP) portfolio company Viadom has taken a 66.6% stake in listed home help services provider Merci Plus Groupe.
The stake was acquired from the group's CEO and its holding company. Viadom plans to make an offer on the rest of the listed Merci Plus shares at a price of €14.45 per share. The company currently has a €7.55m market cap.
ERCP backed the secondary buyout of Groupe Viadom (formerly Groupe Philippe Bosc) from AtriA Partenaires in 2006. The buyout house took a 74% stake - of which a small part was subsequently syndicated - while management retained the 26% balance.
Founded in 2003, MERCI+ specialises in providing home help services for individuals. Its two main business lines are home cleaning and child care. The Toulouse-based company posted a €13.1m turnover in 2009.
