ISAI et al. invest €1.25m in Covoiturage.fr

ISAI is a newly created structure funded by a group of French Internet entrepreneurs and several intitutionnal investors. Its first fund provided a large majority of the equity for this transaction, with Spanish entrepreneur Luis Martin Cabiedes investing the remainder of the new capital.

Launched in 2004, Covoiturage.fr is a website that connects users looking for carpooling opportunities. Travelers can input the details of their planned trip, and contact drivers available for car-sharing who match those requirements. The new funds will fuel the company's growth, and possibly finance its international expansion.
