UBS hires two in French mid-cap M&A team
The French division of UBS Bank has hired two new analysts, Julien Pascal (pictured) and Pierre-Eddy Sastre, for its M&A mid-cap advisory practice.
The two new analysts, who both started their roles on the team at the beginning of this month, have taken up their posts separately, in the Lyon and Paris offices.
Pascal joined the Lyon branch of the M&A mid-cap team following a stint at Société Générale CIB, where his work focused on M&A.
Sastre joined the Paris team from Belgian retail group Louis Delhaize, where he worked with senior management. Prior to this, Sastre gained experience in the M&A division at DC Advisory and with the equity team at CDC Entreprises.
UBS's M&A mid-cap team acts as corporate finance adviser to private equity houses that operate within the mid-market, typically dealing with transactions in the €15-300m range. There are currently 13 members in the team, which is headed by Fabrice Scheer.
