Vendis bolsters French operations with two hires
Vendis Capital has recruited director Mélodie de Pimodan and investment analyst Maarten Snijders as it looks to bolster its France operations, five years after becoming active in the country.
According to Vendis, de Pimodan and Snijders will be based full-time in the Paris office. The duo will oversee the firm's French operations with the assistance of founding partner Cedric Olbrechts and partner Mathieu de Medeiros, who will travel from the Brussels headquarters on a weekly basis.
De Pimodan started her career in M&A, first as manager at DC Advisory Partners and then as associate at Societe Generale. In 2007, she left for Merrill Lynch Capital, where she was an associate within the mid-cap LBO team.
Prior to Vendis, she was employed by Capzanine for six years; the Parisian GP eventually promoted her to director.
Snijders will leave Amsterdam-headquartered M&A adviser Squarefield after a five-year stint as senior associate.
Speaking to unquote", Vendis founding partner Olbrechts explained the two hires follow a step up in its activity on French soil.
The GP entered the country in 2010, a few months after the launch of its €111.5m maiden fund. For the first two years, operations in France were overseen by Olbrechts and de Medeiros from the Brussels office. In 2012, the firm enlisted Nixen's Jean Caillau, who headed the France office as a full-time partner until February 2015, when he left the firm.
The reshuffle of Vendis's teams come four months after the GP recruited Accuracy's Catherine Jully as investment analyst and Nestlé's Vincent Braams as partner for its Dutch office.
