Two bolt-ons for PAI-owned Kiloutou
French construction equipment rental company Kiloutou, a portfolio company of PAI Partners, has acquired two competitors.
The company first acquired BM Location from Groupe Monnoyeur. The target specialises on the civil works market - a segment in which Kiloutou is aiming to increase its market share. BM Location generates around €80m of revenue and employs 600 people.
Kiloutou then bought Top'Loc, a Lyon-based diversified equipment rental business. Top'Loc employs around 120 people across 18 agencies. The bolt-on will enable Kiloutou to strengthen its presence in the Lyon region.
PAI partners acquired Kiloutou from Sagard Private Equity in April 2011, a deal that valued the business at €535m (7x EBITDA). Sagard and other existing shareholders reinvested alongside the new owner.
The group is expecting to post a €330m turnover for 2011 - excluding the effect of the two bolt-on operations.
