
IDIA et al. back Germicopa MBO
IDIA, Naxicap Partners, Ouest Croissance and UEO have backed the management buyout of French potato breeding company Germicopa, for an undisclosed amount.
The management team took a 49% stake in the business. IDIA and UEO - both part of the Crédit Agricole group - Naxicap partners and Ouest Croissance acquired the remainder of the shares.
Crédit Agricole du Finistère arranged debt facilities, also subscribed by Natixis and BCME.
Germicopa is a potato seed breeder based in Quimper. The group notably owns and breeds the Charlotte, Amandine and Chérie potato varieties. Germicopa employs 79 staff and posted a €45m turnover for 2009.
