NiXEN sells Groupe Plastisud in sponsorless OBO
NiXEN has sold its 60% stake in French plastic moulds manufacturer Plastisud back to the founding family and management.
The private equity firm acquired its stake in 2004 through an LBO, with the founding family retaining 40% of the capital. Following an internationalisation strategy and a strengthened positioning in the medical supplies market, Plastisud doubled its turnover between 2004 and 2008.
Founded in 1964, Plastisud is a manufacturer of high precision plastic moulds. Its products are notably used in the fabrication of plastic packaging, bottles, and medical supplies. Based in Castelnaudry, the group posted a €29m turnover for 2009 - 70% of which was generated outside of France - and employs 150 people.
