Activa promotes four
Activa Capital has promoted Sophie Rouland (pictured) to partner, Pierre Chabaud and Jean-Baptiste Salvin to investment directors and Denis Houdet to investment manager.
The promotions come as the firm begins investing from its new fund, Activa Capital Fund III, which reportedly held its first close in January on €200m. The fund has a target of around €320m.
Prior to joining Activa in 2012, Rouland worked at Equistone Partners Europe (then Barclays Private Equity France). During her time at Activa, she has worked on many transactions including the growth capital investment in French childcare nursery group La Maison Bleue in December 2012. The deal was believed to be worth around €30m.
Chaubaud joined Activa in 2009, having previously worked within management consulting at Bain & Company and Arthur D Little. Transactions he has worked on include the buyout of Gaz Européen alongside Paluel-Marmont Capital in December last year.
Salvin, who joined Activa in 2011, previously worked at CVC Capital Partners in the firm's Paris office. He has worked on the La Maison Bleue and Nexeya transactions, the latter of which saw Activa acquire a 57.9% stake in the Euronext-listed company in July 2013, giving it a market cap of €47.8m.
Houdet joined Activa in 2012 as an analyst, having previously worked in the M&A team at Rothschild.
