
Argos Soditic backs Groupe Mertz in bolt-on acquisition
Argos-backed Groupe Mertz has acquired a majority stake in transport specialist Transport Roullé.
Argos Soditic acquired Groupe Mertz in 2008. The investor owns 90% of the company, with management retaining the remainder of the shares.
Founded in 1956 and based in Rouen, Transport Roullé specialises in the road transport of dangerous materials in the west of France. With nearly 130 employees and 100 vehicles, the company generated a turnover of more than €11m in 2009.
