Qualium backs MBO of La Foir'Fouille
Qualium Investissement, part of the Caisse des Dépôts group, has led a syndicate of investors to acquire the discount retail chain La Foir'Fouille for an undisclosed amount.
Qualium is joined in the deal by CIC Finance and Nord Capital Investissement, while CEO Ivan Rapoport and other senior management are also investing in the structure. Senior debt was provided by Crédit Agricole Nord de France and CIC Nord Ouest.
Foir'Fouille is France's leading retailer of discount goods, focusing on four key areas: homewares, DIY, leisure goods and decorations. The group employs 2,800 staff in nearly 200 outlets, principally in suburban areas of France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Spain.
