Afic launches ESG committee
French private equity association Afic has created a dedicated environmental and social governance (ESG) committee to strengthen its commitment to extra-financial business issues.
The ESG committee will take over the work of Afic's Sustainable Development Club, which has worked to foster greater awareness of ESG issues among private equity funds and their portfolio companies since 2009.
Olivier Millet, chairman of the executive board of Eurazeo and creator of the Sustainable Development Club, chairs the new committee.
The ESG committee will have an expanded institutional mission and seek to be more open and inclusive for Afic members who wish to incorporate ESG principles into business management.
