Astorg hires ex-ICG managing director
French mid-cap firm Astorg Partners has appointed François de Mitry as a partner.
De Mitry joins from mezzanine specialist Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), where he had been working since 1997, most recently as managing director since 2005. He has also been a member of Wendel's supervisory board since 2004.
De Mitry started his career at CCF's M&A division in Milan, before joining the acquisition and leveraged finance team at Société Générale in 1991.
Astorg has worked with de Mitry on several mezzanine and equity co-investments over the past 15 years. The GP closed its fifth fund on its €1.05bn hard-cap in April last year, after seven months on the road.
