KKR sells 4.4% stake in Legrand
KKR is to sell a 4.4% stake in Legrand, an electrical equipment company.
Goldman Sachs is running the accelerated bookbuilding process. The sale involves 11.5 million shares valued at €23.6 each. Following the sale, KKR will hold a 20.6% share of Legrand with 27.5% of voting rights.
KKR alongside Wendel, which chose not to participate in the sale, hold a combined 45.5% stake in the company and 60.8% of voting rights. Back in November 2009, the investment houses had already announced the sale of an 11% stake in Legrand.
KKR and Wendel originally took the company private in 2003 before re-introducing it on the stock exchange in 2006.
Limoges-based Legrand is a global electronic equipment company. The firm was founded in 1860.
