Activa Capital adds four to partnership
French mid-cap GP Activa Capital has promoted four team members to its partnership.
Pierre Chabaud has been promoted to partner, having joined Activa in 2009. Previous employers include Bain & Company and Arthur D. Little. While at Activa, Chabaud has worked on portfolio companies including Françoise Saget Linvosges, Sport 2000, Albarelle, Abrisud, La Maison Bleue and Gaz Européen.
Alexandre Masson has been promoted to partner from his previous role as operational director. He joined Activa in 2012 and went on to work on transactions including Sport 2000, Findis and Alliance Etiquettes. Prior to that he worked at Alvarez & Marsal and KPMG.
Another new partner, Benjamin Moreau has been at Activa since 2006 following stints at PwC and BNP Paribas Private Equity. Deals he has worked on include Malherbe, Materne - Mont Blanc, ProNatura, Ergalis, Abrisud, Nexeya and Mecadaq.
Previously an operational director at Activa, Jean-François Briand has been named operations partner at the firm. Previous employers include Brake France and Boston Consulting Group.
The appointments nearly double Activa's partner count: the four professionals will join existing partners Charles Diehl, Michael Diehl, Philippe Latorre and Christophe Parier. Activa's team currently totals 21 staff, including 14 investment professionals.
