Iris Capital promotes two to managing partner
Pan-European venture capital firm Iris Capital has promoted Erik de la Rivière and Erkan Kilicaslan as managing partners, in Paris and Düsseldorf respectively.
De la Rivière joined Iris in 1998 to focus on media and internet investments. He currently sits on the boards of directors at MCI Group and Marco Vasco.
Prior to joining Iris, he managed media and entertainment investments at Banque Worms in Paris, in charge of a specialised venture capital fund. He also served as chairman and CEO at various audio-visual rights and film production companies.
Kilicaslan joined Iris in 2005, dealing with investments in the digital economy and technology, with a particular focus on German speaking countries and Benelux. He sits on the boards of 1-2-3.tv, Mediakraft, reBuy, Searchmetrics, Studitemps and Tyntec.
Before joining Iris, Kilicaslan was a partner at TecVenture Partners, a Munich-based venture capital fund, and worked as a consultant on corporate finance and technology projects at McKinsey.
Iris is a European venture capital fund manager specialising in the digital economy. Its investments focus on startups involved in the European digital ecosystem in France and Germany. Since inception in 1986, Iris has invested in excess of €1bn in more than 250 companies.
