Isai and Ventech exit StickyAds.tv in €96m deal
Isai Gestion and Ventech have exited advertising firm StickyAds.tv in a €96m trade sale.
The acquirer is American multinational mass media company Comcast's subsidiary FreeWheel, which specialises in programmatic video advertising. Comcast acquired FreeWheel in 2014 for $360m.
Isai and Ventech had been minority shareholders – since 2011 and 2013, respectively – alongside founders Hervé Brunet et Gilles Chetelat. Together, they committed a total €4.35m in the company via two funding rounds.
According to FreeWheel, the acquisition will create an end-to-end solution enabling clients to manage video inventory across all screens and access demand from any demand channel.
Comcast, which through this transaction will wholly acquire StickyAds, had been a partner of the firm since 2015.
Previous Funding
StickyAds.tv has raised a total of €4.65m via three funding rounds. The first round, valued at €300,000, was provided by business angels. Later, Isai was the sole participant in the series-A and was joined by Ventech for a series-B round.
