
Ixo in €2m round for Rider Valley
Rider Valley, a French company specialised in motorcycle gear and equipment, has received €2m in funding from Ixo Private Equity.
The Toulouse-based private equity house held a final close for its venture fund Ixo 3 in January 2015 on its €150m hard-cap, above the €130m target. The fund aims to invests €3.5-15m in companies predominantly based in southern France.
Rider Valley aims to triple its turnover over the next five years, and will use the new funding to extend its product offering and develop new items. It will also try and establish new partnerships with distributors, looking to expand internationally.
Company
Based in Aix-en-Provence and founded in 2009, Rider Valley designs, manufactures and distributes a range of equipment and gear for two-wheeled vehicles. It offers helmets, gloves, removable boots, bike racks, jackets and more.
Products are marketed under the company's name as well as via a network of partner brands and shops (around 1,500 currently), mostly France-based.
The company currently employs around 20 people and most recently posted an €8m turnover.
