Innovation Capital et al. in €6.7m round for H4D
Innovation Capital, BPI France and CNP Assurances have joined a €6.7m round of funding for H4D, a health management company focusing on making medical services accessible remotely.
Also backing the round was previous investor Atoga – a Luxembourg family office.
It is hoped the fresh capital will enable H4D to continue to improve its technology and speed up its commercial rollout, with an aim to grow first in France and then abroad.
Following the deal, Peggy Séjourné, services strategy director for the social protection and services business unit at CNP, will join the H4D board of directors.
Company
Founded in 2008 and based in Aix-en-Provence, H4D aims to address geographical and social isolation in healthcare, developing services and devices that make medical services accessible remotely.
The company has developed a website that allows users to consult their medical data and keep track of the evolution of their physiological parameters over time (monitoring things such as tension, body temperature or blood pressure), and to transfer the data to their referring doctor.
It has also developed autonomous medical units that emulate a doctor's office operated through certified technology, which allows patients to perform health check-ups on themselves and monitor acute or chronic diseases.
People
Innovation Capital – Valéry Huot (managing partner).
BPI France – Emmanuel Audouard (investment director).
CNP Assurances – Magalie Noé (chief digital officer); Hélène Falchier (head of private equity investment).
