Idinvest, Entrepreneur Venture in €2m series-A for Sync2Ad
Idinvest Partners and Entrepreneur Venture have led a €2m series-A round for French adtech startup Sync2Ad.
The round sees Entrepreneur Venture back Sync2Ad founder Laurent Weil for the second time. The VC previously invested €5m alongside Omnes Capital in Visiware, a TV games publishing group founded by Weil, but which went under in 2015.
This transaction marks the first round of funding received by Sync2Ad and was led by Idinvest.
Company
Based in Sevres, France, Sync2Ad offers an ad format synchronised with TV or web programmes, triggering immediate displays associated with the image seen on screen on smartphones and tablets. The software allows a smartphone to recognise an ad on TV and simultaneously offer one that is associated or linked. Exising partner brands include Gillette, Nissan, Leclerc, Kiabi or Dunlop.
