Omnes and BPI support Ducatillon's €7.6m BIMBO
Omnes Capital has taken part in the €7.6m buy-in management buyout of Ducatillon, a French retailer of hobby farming and hunting equipment, with BPI France as co-investor in the deal.
Omnes' investment amounted to €7.6m, and came from the FPCI LCL Expansion 2 and FCPR LCL PME Expansion 2 funds. The deal sees the handover of Ducatillon's management and shareholding from chairperson Thomas Delecroix to buyer and new CEO Jean-Marc Bernard.
Bernard previously led mail-order retailers such as La Redoute, Quelle and 3 Suisses.
As a result of the transaction, Omnes and co-investor BPI became majority shareholders in the group.
Ducatillon will keep developing its activities in the hunting and hobby farming markets, combining catalogues and online business with the two priority areas of e-commerce and exports, a company spokesperson said.
Omnes added in a statement that it would focus on the group's logistic tools and marketing strategy to pursue its growth.
Debt
A senior debt provided by Crédit du Nord, amounting to slightly less than the deal value, supported the transaction.
